Aleksandra Kikovic
Aleksandra has extensive management experience in international organisations in various fields such as socio-economic development, spatial planning, cross-border cooperation, tourism infrastructure development, and social inclusion. Prior to her appointment with UNDP, she worked for the German Technical Cooperation – GIZ, Louis Berger S.A., International Relief Development – IRD, Danish Refugee Council – DRC on various projects; this enriched her professional knowledge and helped her to develop the skills to ensure the financial sustainability of projects and programme activities. She has facilitated numerous processes regarding the development of national, local and cross-border policy and strategic documents, has made recommendations for approaches to donors in terms of resource mobilisation, and has actively participated in the design and development of projects. Aleksandra knows how to set goals and achieve them, and has a proven track record of being able to conceive, develop and execute strategies. Aleksandra studied Economics at the University of Montenegro.
She is enthusiastic and is strongly focused on enabling the successful implementation of the project ‘Towards Carbon Neutral Tourism in Montenegro’; the project is designed to explore contemporary business and economic growth challenges in a transition towards achieving low carbon tourism along with its ultimate objective of reducing GHG emissions in Montenegro’s tourism sector.
